Yum Yum Yum!
Oh I do wish I could eat my tea off of this lovely Seletti Palace dining set...(sigh)...fit for a queen indeed it is! It's sure to make any thrown together meal look good and make eating even more of a delight!... Thinking about it I’d like it just to sit and look pretty on my shelf, think this could be just too good to use, even on special occasions!

Comfy.Cosy.Colourful
Plush chushions by Marfa Interiors! So wonderfully bright and colourful and I'm sure they are incredibly comfy too! A great way to inject colour into a room and be able to swap and change depending on your mood.

Hennie Haworth
I really enjoy working in mixed media, combining different line qualities and marks. Hennie Haworth creates the type of work I only wish I could achieve! Her drawings are very personal yet contain recognisable objects and the juxtaposition of imagery and colour is just brilliant!

Far From Stark...
These bright and bold paper scultures by Jen Stark and so much fun! They illustrate how pushing a simple idea like layering coloured papers can become so complex, forming intricate 3D installations. Love them!

Harmony of Hues
I love the tonal green and grey hues against the slithery punches of colour in these beautiful ceramics by James and Tilla Waters.

Back to the Grindstone!
Phew! It's been busy few days! Now I have my dissertation back to complete I regret not doing any work over the holidays! It seems that all of a sudden I have a lots of writing to do and it is going very slowly! But today at least I managed to tick a couple of small things off my list...now just the ones I've been putting off doing to complete and a brand new project to make a start on!

Simple and Clever
Simple and very clever designs by Studio.la... the kind of thing I'm aiming for all time but is just so hard to achieve!

Perfect Palette.
I never fail to love the Marni label and the SS2010 collection is no different! Designer Consuelo Castiglioni always seems pick the perfect colour palette and this seasons softer cardboard hues against sumptuous reds and greens and an unexpected monochrome stripe somehow works really well. She brings a classic tom-boy look together with a hint of 1940s glamour.

Back in the Day...
I was searching through some old photos today and came across these little gems! When we were small 'our gang' constantly played between the neighbours gardens and as you can see from these photos our imaginations were never ending! One day I'd love to write a children's story about our adventures... these would be my starting point!
Passionate about Print...
I seem to have a bit of an obsession with printmakers at the moment. I spotted the work of Clare Curtis when I paid a visit to my local frame shop yesterday. I really love the combination of colours and layered imagery, but also the tactile effect created during the printing process.

Homing - Can Art Save Us?
Another installation from the Millennium Galleries exhibition. Georgina Bell was commissioned to make 100 felt and hand embroidered houses. They explored how our experiences of travel can affect and enrich our homes and communities when we return. I was away from home quite a lot last year and I realised that when I was in a new city I tried to explore every nook and cranny and ended up seeing more than some of the locals saw or even knew about. This started me thinking about how much of my home city I really know and has formed the starting point for my next project.
